Type - 15 - Photo Eye
This input is among the most critical within the car was environment. Often referred to as the "gate", this is typically a photo beam that spans the entry of the wash system. When the eye is "broken" (broken in the sense that the hardware is working, but the signal is interrupted (or the "photo eye beam is broken") indicating vehicle presence) the Cruz Car Wash Controller interprets this as a vehicle having just entered the wash. The eye remains "broken" for the length of the vehicle (as the vehicle is being pushed into the wash via rollers/dollys, or belt conveyor movement). As the vehicle moves away from the gate/photo eye and the signal is no longer "broken", the system interprets this as the end of the vehicle. The system uses all this information to inform itself and all its configured outputs how to act upon the vehicle, and ultimately wash it.
Active Input
Active Input Toggle switches input between being 'used' and 'not used' as it relates to the controller. When toggled OFF, input will not affect the controller status in any way.
