To use, navigate to ORGANIZATION->USERS & PERMISSIONS->USERS
On occasion it may be necessary to revoke an invitation to a user that has yet to accept their new user status.
This revocation only applies when the user has NOT yet signed in the first time! If they already have, and you still need to disable this user, please see article Users - Delete (Remove) a User.
This article only applies after an invitation has been sent, and before the user has signed in for the first time. In this case, reviewing the users list (ORGANIZATION->USERS & PERMISSIONS->USERS) will indicate as shown above; the user will be listed near the top of the user list, the user's row will be highlighted as shown, and status will indicate "Invited".
Revoke Invitation
Clicking this user and then Invitation within the popup window reveals the following
Should we wish to revoke this user's invitation, click Revoke Invitation. A confirmation prompt will appear:
Clicking PROCEED yields the following:
Jane may no longer access the system.
Resend Invitation
If we revoked Jane's invitation by mistake, we can reactivate her invitation by clicking Resend Invitation.
NOTE: THE SYSTEM WILL NOT SEND A NEW INVITATION. THIS IS INTENTIONAL AND ON PURPOSE. MCWW and CruzControl abide by industry best practices and standards; having the system auto-generate new emails in this way poses security risks and therefore no new email will be generated.
Instead, Jane may now attempt to log for the first time by directly accessing CruzControl Portal (portal.cruzcontrol.app) and using the FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD? link.
Following the steps as prompted by the system will allow Jane to email herself a password reset link, which she can in turn use to log into the system successfully for the first time.
[todo: confirm this workflow is correct]
