Summary
To use and configure, navigate to SITE COMMAND->OUTPUTS
The Output settings within Site Command allow the user to configure all things output related. Outputs take action upon the vehicle as it moves down the conveyor. The CruzControl controller supports 256 total outputs. These outputs are organized as follows
- Output 0 through 127 are "physical digital outputs" utilizing discrete wiring to electrically fire.
- Outputs 128-153 are "network driven"; control of the equipment is handled via communication protocols over a network. This group of network driven outputs is used solely for Tesys motor starters and must go in a row, left to right, starting with the top-most Tesys Island Bus Coupler.
- Outputs 154 to 239 are "network driven"; control of the equipment is either handled via communication protocols over a network or internal to the software program itself, and either case will not fire physical relays. This group of outputs is used for variable frequency drive (VFD) interaction, subsystem devices (other PLCs for example) and retract (output override) purposes only.
- Outputs 240 to 255 are "time based outputs"; control of the equipment is handled via communication protocols over a network. This group of virtual outputs is used solely for interaction with a sub system relay controller and is not affected by a tunnel estop. Also their turn on and off schedule is dictated by real time-of-day clock scheduling.
Update From Controller
Pressing this button will force Cruz to pull from the car wash controller its most recent settings, and then Cruz will refresh this page immediately. It's advisable to use this feature if the page has been displayed or not manually refreshed after a time, as this will ensure any settings you view or change, are the most current.
Conveyor Speed
This graph and number represent the last known conveyor speed at time of page load or Update from Controller. This value is shown in terms of "CPH" or Cars Per Hour, the number of vehicles the current system configuration and real world operating conditions combine to process per hour.
Search
Easily search through outputs by typing output name. Start typing and the output list will auto populate with all outputs containing in part or in whole the phrased typed.
Count and Page Display
The number entered here defines the number of outputs to show per page. Pages available and navigation is displayed at the bottom of the displayed output list. This is defaulted to show all outputs (256) on one continuous page.
Filters
Clicking Filters displays various choices the user may configure to manipulate which outputs display within the output list.
Find Duplicates
Clicking this will update the output list to display only those outputs that have been configured with the same (1) Asset Code, (2) Asset Iteration and (3) Asset System Level (Asset Codes, Asset Iterations and Asset System Levels Explained).
Output List and Summary
Each output is displayed within the output list in summary form. This summary is interactive and allows for taking several actions upon the output without having to open its configuration.
Output Number
This is a unique output number defined by the controller and is not user editable.
Output Description
An editable/configurable description field used to easily identify the output to the user. This description is what is referenced by the search feature (Search).
Reset
This feature is currently unavailable and will be removed in future versions of Cruz.
On
Pressing On will instruct the controller to turn, or "force on" this output and keep it on regardless of program control.
NOTE: If the Output is Faulted, Force On will have no effect. The output will remain off.
Off
Pressing Off will instruct the controller to turn, or "force off" this output and keep it off regardless of program control.
NOTE: If the Output is Faulted, Force Off will have no effect. The output will remain off.
Auto
Pressing Auto will return control of this output to the controller. It will turn on and off as per its configuration, wash package inclusion, etc.
NOTE: While in a faulted state and in Auto mode, the output will turn off and stay off until the fault has been cleared.
Edit Output (Output Details)
You may view and/or edit all the details associated with an output by first clicking anywhere within the highlighted boxes of an output, from within the Output List and Summary
Clicking will bring up the Edit Output window.
NOTE: No changes will be applied to the controller until SUBMIT is selected. Clicking CANCEL or Xing out of this window will cancel and not apply any changes made during this windowed session.
Output #X
Top center of the window displays the system defined output number. This is not editable by the user.
Wash Package Inclusion Indication (What wash packages include this output?)
If this Output has been included in any Wash Packages, those packages will be displayed as blue bubbles under the Output #. For example and in the case shown above, this output (Output #1) is included in five wash packages; Base Wash, Base Plus, Platinum, Titanium, and Default Wash. To add, edit or remove outputs from Wash Packages, see Wash Packages - Washes
Advanced
By default the Advanced menu is hidden. To expand it, click the + symbol.
Clicking will expand the Advanced menu.
Clear Output Config
Selecting this will reset the output in question's configuration settings back to factory default.
Import Config From Output
Here you can copy the configuration from a different existing output to this output. Click within the Import Config From Output -> Select Output drop down and select from the list the output you'd like to copy from, to this output.
Export Config To Output
Here you can copy the configuration of this output to a different output. Click within the "Select Output" drop down the output you'd like to copy from, to this output. Click within the Export Config To Output -> Select Output drop down and select from the list the output you'd like to copy this output's configuration to.
Asset Disabled
Name
Type within this field the name you'd like to have displayed for this output. This name has a twenty character limit.
Equipment Function
Asset Code, Asset Iteration and Asset System Level
These three configuration settings work in combination to define how a specific output is to perform. First, 'the thing' (Asset Code; for example a Top Brush). Second, which one of 'the thing's this output is to work with (Asset Iteration; if you have two Top Brushes, you might specify a value of 1 in the first output you're configuring, and a value of 2 in the second output you're configuring). And third, what this Top Brush and this output is supposed to do (Asset System Level; for example, this Top Brush is to Spin when this output turns on).
There are more than 30 asset codes available, and the Edit Output window will adjust to reflect setting specific to each selection. Please see article Asset Codes, Asset Iterations and Asset System Levels Explained for a full description and explanation of each.
