To use and configure , navigate to ORGANIZATION->CONFIGURATION
This is where you'll configure tenant wide settings, that in turn apply to all sites within your organization. Everything from users and permissions, to tenant regions, to assets, chemicals, inventory, thresholds and more can be found within this configuration area.
Users & Permissions
Clicking the drop down arrow to the right of USERS & PERMISSIONS reveals two options to choose from.
USERS
Here you may add (or "register") a new user to your system, edit existing user permission sets or delete users from your system, preventing them from accessing CruzControl.
Selecting USERS will display a complete list of all users, both pending invite and active, that your system contains.
To learn how to add or register a user, please see article Users - Registering (adding) a New User
To learn how to edit an existing user, please see article Users - Editing an Existing User
To learn how to delete or remove a user, please see article Users - Delete (Remove) a User
To learn how to revoke an invitation already sent a user, please see article Users - Revoke Invitation
PERMISSIONS
Permissions, or Permission Sets, are constructs consisting of various access rights (Read/View, Write/Edit and other various system functions) to individual actions within the system. Once defined, a permission set may be assigned to a user. For example, a wash owner may have defined a custom set of permissions, or permission set called "My User Permissions". Once this permission set has been defined, the owner would then add a new user, or edit an existing user known to be a manager, and assign that person the permission set "My User Permissions".
To understand how to assign permission sets to users, please see the above section USERS and its associated articles.
To learn how to configure permission sets, please see article Permissions and Permission Sets - What Are They and How to Configure Them?
Tenant
Clicking the drop down arrow to the right of TENANT reveals two options to choose from.
REGIONS
Grouping locations into regions means dividing a large set of individual sites into smaller, organized clusters called regions. This is a strategic way of simplifying management, analysis, and operations when dealing with many locations.
CruzControl provides this mechanism to simplify management; instead of overseeing hundreds sites individually, company leadership can work through 5–10 regional managers instead and for example. This also provides for operational efficiency as its easier to coordinate logistics, staffing, marketing, and support.
To learn how to use and configure CruzControl Tenant Regioning, please see article Tenant - Regions.
Note: Using regions is not required. An operator may choose not to utilize this feature with no loss of functionality within CruzControl. This feature is simply an enhancement offered to medium and large scale operators who require managing large numbers of users and permission sets, without the need to manually interact with each on a site by site basis.
